After embarking on a Twitter rant this afternoon, Childish Gambino ended the speech by directing fans to his website. From there things only got more confusing as Mr. Glover unveiled a quote (I think?) from internet personality and music critic Big Ghostface. Maybe Chlidish is coming out of the woodwork and letting the world know he’s actually Big Ghostface? Although that’s probably unlikely, he did bless us with a new song in between ranting. Childish debuted this track a few weeks ago in Los Angeles but delivers the official audio for a track that should live on his forthcoming mixtape. And as you might have expected this track is rather reflective as well. All in all, this is probably the best thing I’ve heard from Donald. Enjoy..

The mashup artist/DJ turned promising producer, Brenton Duvall, unveils his latest musical creation in the form of a remix of The Knocks’ “All We Got.” The 21-year-old musician has begun to focus more of his efforts to producing, and rightfully so considering some of his recent work behind the boards. With prison becoming a revolving door for quite a few rappers nowadays, the ‘post-prison album release’ has become an unfortunate right of passage within the industry. Latest to embark on this complicated journey is Clifford Harris, better known as T.I., who is gearing up to release his first LP since his double dose of prison time over the past few years. Although Tip hit a hot streak immediately after his release, he has since cooled off as the release of Trouble Man nears closer by the day. T.I. has apparently recorded over 100 songs for his latest album and just “Like That” he hits us with another taste of what we can expect on the project. Holy balls. That is all. This was the first time we at GoodMusicAllDay got to see what these parties our like that our partners, I’m Shmacked, get to cover. We knew we were up for a treat when we saw the “Don’t Go To Mifflin” viral video by their Dean … but had no idea it would really be that nuts. With 4 to 5 thousand people, and near 400 arrests (that’s almost 10% of total people partying) … this was a hell of a party. Hats off to the University of Wisconsin.

Paper Diamond is back with a very good 3 track EP called ‘Wavesight’ that is a must have for any electro fan out there.   He starts the EP off with ‘Turn The Lights Off’ which is a more universally appealing track as it features nice female vocals, but still possesses some nice bass/dub/electro aspects.  From there he gives us a pure instrumeantal jam and closes with the pseudo-pop / dub track, Can We Go Up.   Overall this is a very short, yet sweet EP that I’m sure you will all enjoy!

Just when you thought Mike Posner was gonna fully disappear after riding out his mixtape, The Layover, way too long, he comes out with this Diplo and Benny Blanco-produced smash. Rumor has it that the full single  (this version is with just Mike and is featured in a Reebok commercial) will drop sometime this month, featuring a verse from G.O.O.D. Music’s Big Sean. If you saw this title including Coyote Kisses and the hit “Call Me Maybe” and didn’t click play already … you might be against having a good time and prob won’t enjoy this remix anyway. For everyone else, enjoy. I think so far, it’d go Huey Mack’s remix (Fuck Me Baby)is still my favorite, the original is second, and this is third. Once in a blue moon, I find myself taking a liking to music that falls into the ever-expanding dubstep genre. Although a blue moon won’t be appearing until August of 2013 (assuming the world doesn’t end before then), dubstep has managed to one again steal my heart courtesy of Steffi Nguyen’s vocals in Singularity’s latest track. I guess you can describe my enjoyment of most techno music as shallow since more often than not the aspect of the song I grasp on to is the cheesy vocals of some beautiful songstress who is usually singing about blacking out or the appeal of youth. I mean, you can’t really blame me when the music of the EDM world is usually flowing into my eardrums when I can’t tell my left hand from my right. To some extent, it’s the same reason people take interest in Waka Flocka Flame. Before I go off on a tangent, I’ll stop here. I still don’t understand the widespread appeal of dubstep but I do understand the widespread appeal of a Katy Perry-sounding vixen blasting pointless, yet beautiful vocals. Enjoy..

North Carolina based DJ and producer, D.veloped, has been steadily growing into his own sound over the last couple years, as he continues to set himself apart from the traditional definition of a mashup artist. Usually when the term ‘sampling’ is involved in musical conversation, some form of hip hop is the subject. With TV Girl, this is not the case. TV Girl utilizes a wide array of samples for this project creating an unforgettable musical experience. You have to hear it to understand it. TV Girl is one of the best new artists I’ve been listening to and I think you’ll love them just as much as rbplack and I do. This mixtape comes with a PDF file attached and it is one of the funniest and most creative things I have ever seen included with a digital album. You can download that over here from their bandcamp. I was waiting to see if dmcj was gonna post this (since I’m jumping on the A$AP bandwagon a lot later than him), but after watching this video twice already today, I figured it was time to throw it on GMAD. Well this group is on fire. Today Aer releases the latest visuals for their hit, “What You Need”. The video is black and white and has footage of the duo kicking it in the studio and making feel good music. The group will be undergoing a massive tour this summer with OCD: Moosh and Twist, and it might just be the next GMAD tour. Today we are blessed with the third single off Usher’s upcoming 7th studio LP, Looking For Myself. He recruits the leader of MMG and creates yet another song that I’m sure will be played all too much on the radio. This doesn’t quite meet this hit level of his first single, Climax, but still seems to solidify that this album dropping June 12th will be worth the money. Enjoy.

Beautiful music. Lana Del Rey already made a hell of a track with the original, but damn did Mateo create a smooth cover. These studio videos/covers are becoming more and more popular amongst newly signed artists, and you can see why when they are such an easy way to showcase an artists talent and unique vibe. Whether or not you like the original to this track, I think everybody will be bobbing their head to the drop that comes in about 50 seconds in. I never really got into the original, but I’m excited to have found a version that actually makes me wanna play it at a party. You have to like CTLGD on Facebook to get the track, but it’s well worth it.

And just like that Cudder is back (again). Out of no where, Scott decides to re-introduce the world to the more popular side of his musical abilities, rapping. Although WZRD did manage to surprise a few people with some standout tracks, the positive reviews were few and far between outside of die-hard CuDi fans. For his return back to rap, CuDi drops off a song he produced himself, sample his own tune, “Ghost!” It’s good to see CuDi rapping again, but that’s about the only positive thing there is to say about this track. Here is the newest track from Drew32 with Jon Connor, who some of you may remember from the GMAD SXSW showcase. It’s produced by Professor O and from upcoming mixtape “Label Me” (Hosted by DJ Skee), which is coming out next week (April 30th). Not so crazy about autotune choruses, but the verses are dope and the track comes together nicely. Enjoy.

Manicanparty had quite the debut last month with their track Rebels in the Light, which won over many first time listeners. This is the second leak off their upcoming selftitled project, Manicanparty EP. They are a fresh new sound to GMAD and show a lot of potential. To me, it seems like Australia is known for kangaroos, Vegemite, and breeding electro/indie/pop bands.  The latest for me to stumble across is Sun City from Perth, AUS who has a sound that is kinda like The Naked and Famous (New Zealand) mixed with Strange Talk (Melbourne, Aus.).  Thier track ‘City Lights’ is full of energy and is one that will instantly get stuck in your head.   Enjoy!

There’s no denying the influence that dance music & the EDM world has has on the mainstream music in the States. With the increasing appeal of dance-inspired tunes, more and more artists are inquiring the world’s biggest DJs to offer dance floor- ready remixes to their chart-topping tracks. The latest to employ this idea is Rihanna, who is obviously no stranger to the EDM world with her recent smash and collaboration with Calvin Harris on “We Found Love.” I’ll let Hardwell take it from here. Today we have the first leak (courtesy of Gucci’s twitter) from Gucci Mane’s upcoming mixtape, I’m Up, coming out over Memorial Day Weekend (May 26th-28th). I don’t know if it’s just me, but I can’t get into Gucci’s sound … but Chris Brown and Weezy save the track at the end. Considering it’s Breezy, Weezy, and Gucci on a FREE track, it’s worth the download. And considering how obnoxious the “Cyeah” that Gucci normally says is … and how surprisingly not obnoxious the “Cyeah” in the refrain is, this song might as well have been named “Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah”. None the less, Gucci is certainly different.

Dizzy Wright is a 21-year-old Las Vegas-based rapper who was recently signed by 2012 XXL Freshman, Hopsin. Today, Dizzy is gearing up to release his latest project, SmokeOut Conversations, where this track will live. Just got familiar with TiRon & Ayomari’s music thanks to my man Marc (from MJF), and boy am I happy that I did. A great new sound and vibe for the GMAD loyalty. More soul and RnB than the typical GMAD post, but I think everyone will see the potential and talent in all aspects of this art. We are late on board, but props to IllRoots and MJF for the introduction.

Hmmm, so either this whole OFWGKTA semi-crazy, left field swag is catching on … or there are just more imitators. I think Tyler did something cool and artistic, but besides this video above, this one we haven’t posted but is dope (put it after the jump as well), and K.i.D and Mr Man’s “Talk That Shit” … it could get old. Just hope artists keep it fresh one way or another. What you all think?

UPDATE: Hype rightly called me out below, jot a text from JT (aka dmcj) calling me an idiot about the whole situation as well. Ab-Soul deserves the utmost respect, but still … is this genre something you guys like and want more of? Or is it to niche?

This just surfaced, and it was only a matter of time. I’m sure the “Mercy” remixes will be flooding in soon, but props to Slim K for getting a quick turn around on a great remix to a new radio anthem. As if the original didn’t sound like it went along with that purple stuff that makes you, um, lean? yeah, def not my thing, but slowing this down made a crazy trippy vibe. Enjoy …

Just spotted this absolute gem over at Pnp, so I’ll let them do the talking …

For months, you’ve been waking up, hating the idea of leaving your covers and immediately feeling your body temperature drop. Getting out of the shower is painful. Then suddenly, almost all at once, things change. You know this will happen, it always does, but it doesn’t lessen the joy of that first day when you get to sleep with your windows open or go outside without a jacket on. Moody winters fade, and the flirtation with summer begins.

Xylos’ “Summerlong” starts off pretty bare and cold, but quickly warms up and morphs into a summer anthem. This one gets put on instant repeat. Fun fact: Back in college, Xylos guitarist Eric and Ira Wolf Tuton (Yeasayer) were in a band called The Ally. They were really good too but as it does, life happened and they disbanded.  Now Eric is with Xylos based out of Brooklyn.

Here’s a new artist debut to GMAD with this brand new music video to Common People by Dillon Cooper. Spotted it because of the Jon Kilmer connections, no surprise bc his name is everywhere. Didn’t think Dillon would impress me well enough for a post, but he def shows potential and dig the vibe. Spotted at Earmilk. Enjoy.

After dropping off the the audio last week, Huey Mack now delivers the accompanying video for his CJ Luzi produced track that will appear on his upcoming project, A Boy Named Hue.
