Just read the one year anniversary post and just had to tell you that this site is one I visit everyday. Music is a big part of my life and will always be so it’s good to have somewhere i can find great songs that I’ll never get tired of. Can’t thank you enough for it. Keep up what you’re doing now. Kairos is a religious retreat that takes place at a lot of Catholic High Schools. Kairos literally translates as “God’s time,” but the retreat is more based on finding yourself and being comfortable and honest with yourself, rather than an overexposure to religion. As for the song… During the Kairos retreat leaders give speeches about different topics and each leader plays a song before and after their speech. When Tim went on Kairos the second time, when he was a leader, he used “The Prayer” as one of his songs. By the way, I was on both Kairos retreats Tim was so that’s how I know this.

Ive been following the site nearly every day for a good 7 or so months and I rarely have anything bad to say about it. My one question is, when is the GMAD store coming? im interested to see whats going on with that and can def say that at the least i would rock a nice “Good Music All Day” bumper sticker on my car. Awesome work on the site in the past year, my ipod is thanking you guys. I look forward to what the future brings.

Hey guys, love this site, you always have sick music. Anyways I’m trying to download some songs and lately hulkshare hasn’t been working….when you click the download link it just directs you to a player for the song, can you help me out with this?

ive been having the same problem where i can’t download songs from hulkshare, it only redirects me to another media player. its not quite working.

i’ve been having the same problems as everyone else. if you use firefox, hulkshare works, but on safari for mac the link redirects.

Same problem as everybody else when i used to download a mixtape it would show up as a folder in my documents now it is only a single mp3 any suggestions?

can you please catch up on the “Best Of” weekly albums. The last one was from July and it is now September. The only way i get to listen to your new music is by downloading the album and then listening to the songs from there. Im just too busy to sort through new songs and download them individually. Either way i love this free cool music website, but that was the main reason i came here and those albums are how i spread news of you guys to my friends. Now i don’t even check this site often anymore, only in hopes that the “Best of 2011″ section will be updated (which it is not anymore…)

Been getting music from you guys for a while, its all good stuff, but I dont have time to get on here daily anymore and download tracks. Off and on you all have done a Best of series and I was hoping that you all could make this an actual weekly event. It would be great to hope on and not have to spend a couple hours catching up on the lead.

Hey GMAD, Im a huge fan of the site, been coming here for music for years, and havent really ever had a problem, but recently when trying to download the “best of” or various mixtapes the download won’t be a zip file but just one big mp3 file, it wont even go into my itunes because of this. Please fix this if you can or give suggestions so i can fix it somehow? Thank you
I’ve been a fan for a long time, but the one thing this site lacks is diversity. Change it up, throw in some more electronic music, all the other big blogs are doing it. If you had some of that then I wouldn’t have any need to check other blogs
SO I love the blog, along with FNT, you guys are my favorite for finding music. The one thing I think I like best about it is some of your sponsored Mixtapes are clutch as hell. New Linen and Ianj put you a cut above the competition, so in that respect, keep up the damn fine work.
Now on to the criticism. As much as I love the site, you really need to re-format in some respects how you display new music. The site can get jumbled sometimes what with all the mash-ups, remixes, and OS being presented in the same way. IF you could make it more clear cut what kind of song it is, it could easily help you differentiate from the very similar Freshnewtracks. Other then that, keeping up with the “best of” series would also be appreciated as sometimes I ‘m too damn lazy to surf the whole blog and many of us would much prefer the format where we can quickly flip through the list of songs for something good.
Pros:
- music is updated frequently
- music diversity is decent
Cons:
- massive photos and album art (thumbnails would be preferred, as they would enable scrolling to be reduced)
- pages are rendered extremely slowly among different browsers
