Click “Read More” below to view the hottest songs, videos, and mixtapes from the past week. Sorry for the delay in this one, but for now on in 2012, you can typically expect to see the weekly Best Of’s on Sunday! Check the first Best Of in 2012 so far for GMAD below …
Shit happens. Sometimes your girlfriend breaks up with you over the phone. Sometimes your girlfriend makes out with your friend at a party you were at. Sometimes your girlfriend gets too drunk and embarrasses herself. Maybe all that is true. Alas, your relationship is dead and the ghost is fading. To help with this process here is the ultimate break-up tape, Damn, That Girl Cut Me Deep brought to you by the indie page. Enjoy, cry, whatever.
“Just wiggle that knife around real good once you get in there.”
HAPPY NEW YEAR’S EVE!!! Alright, now that that’s out of the way let’s get to the tunes. I went through every post from the beginning of this year to create a solid playlist for y’all’s NYE parties and broke it down into three sections. The first section is the Pre-Game which should be played from 10-11PM which will provide for a solid build up to the night and a chance to socialize and get the drinks flowin’. The next section is the Home Stretch – this is where most people begin to struggle in the night but still want to go as hard as possible to make it to the promised land (11-12PM). The tunes at this point are all about a bangin’ beat to rage to since most people won’t even care about the song. The last, and my personal favorite, of the three, is the Party Like It’s 2012 portion which is meant to be turned on IMMEDIATELY after the ball drops. This is composed of the tracks that make you rage like none other. Those face-melting, beat-dropping, body-moving tracks that just make you want to go as hard as possible. And yeah, there’s the breakdown. You can stream (mostly – in no order) the whole thing below, or you can grab the playlist as a whole, or either section – it’s up to what you need. Hit the jump for the track lists of each section. Use this playlist wisely… and RAGE!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR’s EVE GMAD-ers!
We’re as excited as you are. Take a break from your exams, have a beer or soda, and download this mixtape. Then go back to studying and put in your headphones. It’s perfect for the library or the party, so we’ve concluded it’s just perfect.
Our collaboration with SEA (simplysea.com), an apparel company that fundraises for non-profits, produced Siamese twins: a sick, custom SEA snapback that benefits the American Cancer Society and this “Be seen.” mixtape, an eclectic mix of unreleased tracks from some of the best in the business, up-and-comers and established artists alike.
This mix is just too sick. It’s SEA sick, if you don’t mind… We respect these artists as musicians and as people, and they all were more than down with supporting the cause. Find hip-hop, electronic, pop, jazz, rock, and others blended together like chicken and broccoli (or macaroni and cheese for those of you with less exotic tastes).
At the time of this release, these are unreleased tracks. And it’s free. Get them here first. And go support the artists and the cause.
It’s finally here (pun intended)! Finals week, the week where our phones go on silent, text books open up for the first time, and headphones block the outside world. Thus, I introduce to you the Imaginary Girlfriend Mixtape to help ease your mind on the front lines of finals. Theres no better music to study to then the soothing vocals of the amazing female artists and their songs that I have compiled for this mixtape. Even if you do not need to study, Overachievers, this mixtape is still a MUST DOWNLOAD to add to the vast GMAD library on your iTunes. Enjoy, study, and throw down on your test like a Skrillex grammy nominated WHOMP.
Well, its been awhile since we put together a nice mixtape for the GMAD faithful, and I figured since I am hopping on a plane to NYC in a few hours I would throw together a list of what I will be jamming to while I am there… I start the tape off with Hipster Girl by 2AM Club in honor of those NYC ladies and then go straight into some real nice remixes of the classics; including Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Mark Morrison, and Marlena Shaw. The second half of the tape features some great electro indie remixes as well as some amazing EDM tracks… most notably Alesso’s remix to River Flows In You. Three highlight tracks are below and read more for a full stream/tracklist….. Enjoy!
This mixtape is a project that rbplack, the new GMAD Indie Intern, and myself have been working on for some time. With this mix, we wanted to shine light on some extremely underground bands with amazing potential. The bands on this mixtape are what we think could be the future of indie music coverage on GoodMusicAllDay.com. Take note to each of these bands/artists, because we will be posting more free tracks and albums from them in the coming weeks. So without further adieu, The Future Of The Indie Page Mixtape.
THIS IS UP AGAIN BECAUSE THE FILE WASN’T UNZIPPING RIGHT (LOL). DOWNLOAD.

Well, during a brainstorming session of how to release more things for the fans, we at GMAD thought an amazing idea would be to release a workout mixtape since Summer is the time everyone’s getting back into shape from all the raging at school. With the first installation of our “Summer Shape Up” series, we have a nice running/cardio edition that keeps your legs moving with every song. We’ve even moved around the order of the songs so if played right, the beat/tempo of each song makes you swing your arms and legs faster and faster as the mixtape progresses. Oh, and did I mention EVERY TRACK (except one) is BRAND NEW to GMAD that I’m sure you guys don’t have in your iTunes?! Also, to prove that this mix is prime for running, Inside Lacrosse gave it a listen an hopped on to sponsor and present it alongside us. So grab this mixtape, get off this site (only for a little bit), and get into the Summer shape! Be sure to check out the FULL article on Inside Lacrosse as well!
Note: Like the title of the mixtape, this post is sticky. Keep scrolling.
