El Cantador’s music video for Empty Carz is the best video I have seen this year and, ironically, it was released last year. Regardless, El Cantador is a great band that puts on a show worth going out to see. When I saw El Cantador a few weeks back they surprised the hell out of me.They had synths that seemed to have come from no where, breakdowns that had my feet stomping and lyrics worth thinking twice about. The kind guys from El Cantador wanted to give the GMAD FAM a chance to download their new album ‘Fools For Light‘ for donation only for a limited time. Daniel Johnston – Space Ducks
The infamous singer-songwriter Daniel Johnston recently published his first comic book Space Ducks. Not only did Daniel create a comic book, he also developed a interactive Ipad app for it. Sun City – City Lights
To me, it seems like Australia is known for kangaroos, Vegemite, and breeding electro/indie/pop bands. The latest for me to stumble across is Sun City from Perth, AUS who has a sound that is kinda like The Naked and Famous (New Zealand) mixed with Strange Talk (Melbourne, Aus.). Thier track ‘City Lights’ is full of energy and is one that will instantly get stuck in your head. Enjoy!
