Coldplay – Charlie Brown (Arnar Ingason Bootleg Mix)

Another Coldplay remix you ask?   Haven’t we already had millions of remixes from the likes of Swedish House Mafia, Avicii, Tiesto, Fedde Le Grand  and plenty of other producers?  Yes, we have… and that is why I was so shocked when it was a remix by a 15 year old producer from Iceland by the name of Arnar Ingason that tops my list as favorite mix from Mylo Xyloto.  Choosing not to use the usual ‘Paradise’ or ‘Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall’, and taking the relatively  unknown track ‘Charlie Brown’, Arnar Ingason creates a refreshing and high energy mix that I am positive you will make it on your rotation as you party on this extended weekend.   Enjoy!

Gotye – Somebody I Used To Know (Jakob Liedhold Remix)

Jakob Liedhold is a Swedish DJ who is beginning to make some noise around the EDM scene. For his latest remix, Jakob tackles Gotye’s “Somebody I Used To Know,” which has easily become one of the most remixed tracks around. If his talent wasn’t apparent enough, this young Swed is only 15 years old. Yeah.. Check out some of his other releases below. Enjoy..

The Knocks & Mandy Lee – Midnight City (M83 Cover)

When I saw that The Knocks (one of my favorite new groups) did a cover of Midnight City (one of my favorite tracks of the past year, if not my #1 favorite) I wasn’t really sure what to expect but I figured that it wouldn’t be your normal cover…. and boy was that an understatment.  Using Mandy Lee for vocals of not only the lyrics, but also to sing the iconic synth part that everyone loves from the original, The Knocks really make something new and unique out of a track that only a select few should even attempt to remix.  I don’t know what to say if you don’t find yourself singing to this track within a few listens….. Enjoy!

Chi Duly – Balloons of Haus (Mixtape)

ballons of haus

Chi explains that Balloons of Haus is “‘house music for the “I’m not really into techno’ folks.” More or less, Chi Duly takes The Weeknd’s appealing subject matter to a new level as he provides renditions of the songs more applicable to a ‘party’ setting. Skrillex – My Good Bye (Original Mix)

In honor of the trio of awards Skrillex took home at last night Grammy Awards, SkrillexMothership drops off a brand new Skrillex song to celebrate this occasion. A little less Dubstep and little more Progressive House this time around from Skrillex. However, no one has even questioned the genius of Skrillex and I think it will stay that way now that the man is a multiple Grammy award winner. Enjoy..
