Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg – The Next Episode (Neon Steve Re-Rub)

First off, I will not try and categorize this into a genre other than saying it is some sort of D&B, electro, dubstep, glitch hybrid…. Neon Steve takes Snoop and Dre’s smash hit, The Next Episode and adds in some crazy electro lines and turns this track into a real nice head bobber.   It kinda takes a while for the beat to really drop (almost 2 minutes), but when it does, it all comes together perfectly.  I also pulled up one of Neon Steve’s first releases which is more of a pure electro/dubstep mix, this time to 1901 by Phoenix and I really like what he did with this one…. Enjoy!

Skrillex – Syndicate (Original Mix + PockX Edit)

Today I have a new track from Skrillex, which he made specifically for the latest edition of the classic shooter game Syndicate; watch the trailer for the new game HERE. The game looks sick and the music to go along to it, brought to us by the dubstep god, Skrillex, is crazy, too. As a bonus, added PockX’s edit of the song. If you are unaware, PockX created the wonderful extended edit of Skrillex’s “Bangerang”, which I shared with you a couple days ago.

Cold War Kids – Mine Is Yours (Passion Pit Remix)

Passion Pit’s remix to Mine Is Yours by Cold War Kids is full of great vocals and a catchy synth beat…. pretty much exactly what you would expect from one of the biggest indie bands getting remixed by one of the top electro-indie groups… pure gold.  Enjoy!

Foster The People – Pumped Up Kicks (Vaski Remix)

First off let me say that I will be the first to say that Pumped Up Kicks has been covered, remixed, and used in mash ups WAY too many times and usually when I see a new mix I don’t even bother… but this one caught my attention after the first 3 beats…  translating the original catchy bass line into some nice dub-electro, Vaski creates a very nice take on the Foster The People’s original and I think that a perfect blend of dub and the original was used and the end product is something new and fresh.  Enjoy!
